What makes an Avocado mattress different from other brands?
We handcraft our mattresses in California using only 100% certified organic materials, including GOLS-certified latex and GOTS-certified wool and cotton. Unlike traditional brands, we never use toxic flame retardants, chemical adhesives, or petroleum-based foams.
How does the 1-year sleep trial work?
We offer a 365-night sleep trial on all mattresses. We recommend sleeping on your new mattress for at least 30 days to allow your body to adjust. If you are not satisfied, we will arrange for a full refund and pickup of the mattress at no cost to you.
Do you offer free shipping and returns?
Yes, we provide free carbon-neutral shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States. If you decide to return your mattress during the trial period, we will also handle the return shipping and pickup for free.
Do I need a specific type of bed frame or foundation?
Our mattresses work best on a rigid, non-flexible foundation, such as our wood bed frames or a slatted base with slats no more than 5 inches apart. Using a traditional box spring with coils is not recommended for our hybrid latex models.
What is the warranty period for Avocado mattresses?
We stand by our craftsmanship with a 25-year limited warranty. This covers manufacturing defects and structural issues, including indentations greater than 1 inch, ensuring your investment is protected for decades.
Are your mattresses vegan-friendly?
Our standard mattresses contain organic wool, but we offer a PETA-approved Vegan Mattress that replaces the wool layer with extra organic cotton for those seeking a 100% plant-based sleep surface.
